SIX MORE WEEKS OF WINTER WEATHER? NO!!! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today, and the “Prognosticator of Prognosticators” thereby declared Spring is NOT around the corner! We’ll see what Oklahoma weather REALLY holds for us.

MONDAY is the 100th Day of School! We sent the project forms home last week, and it is attached to this email! If you’d like to send a snack to share, we will be making a snack to share! Some suggestions: cereal, chocolate chips, marshmallows, Skittles, etc. We will be counting out mixed groups of 100 items for each student. Mrs. Moreno is bringing a box of Cookie Crisp to share!
February 10th at 2:15 will be our Friendship parties with family. On this day we also pass out friendship cards (a.k.a Valentines). Please help your child prepare 2 sets of cards.One set is to give to family members-16 plus family teacher. The other set is for the homebase group-23 students plus 2 teachers. Please put the cards in a bag labeled with your child’s name and with the label “homebase” or “family.” Please do not address the cards to specific children. Please start this job soon! It takes a while to write your name so many times! It is fine to attach a piece of candy or a sticker to the cards if you would like. Please be mindful that some children have peanut allergies and avoid candy with nuts.

Even though we are not sending homework regularly, students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes each and practicing their addition and subtraction math facts.
