Einstein News! April 7, 2016
Tomorrow night is the 5th Grade Luau. Bring your family and come show support for our Mayo 5th graders! See attached flyer for more details.
There will be no Early Release Friday in May but May 6th will be a Spirit Day. Your Einstein can wear a Mayo spirit shirt with regular uniform bottoms on this day. Since no inclement weather days were used this year, the last day of school will be Tuesday May 17th.
Friday, April 29th, the Einsteins will be spending the day at Whiteside Park. We plan to leave Mayo at 10:00 and will return at 2:00. We will use Frisbees, footballs, bubbles and soccer balls to see what happens with them in the wind. If you would like to send a kite with your Einstein, you may! We cannot promise that it will survive the day in order to be returned to you J. We will provide a special lunch for the Einsteins. If you would like to join us, please let your child’s homebase teacher know.
Summer Birthdays: If your Einstein has a birthday during the summer and they would like to celebrate with their homebase by bringing a treat, please contact your child’s homebase teacher so they can schedule a day to celebrate!
New Parent Tours will be held this month for families with children entering grades K-5 who are interested in attending Mayo for the 2016/2017 school year! There are three tours set: 4/6 @ 9:00 a.m., 4/20 @ 9:00 a.m. and 4/21 @6:30 p.m. If you know of a family who would like a tour have them call the office to schedule on one of these dates!
State OCCT tests are starting next week and we need people to volunteer to proctor. The tests start on Monday April 11th and run through Thursday April 28th. We need volunteers from 8:00 to around 11:00. Please click the link below to sign up for any days that work for you. Thank you! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9YYMR53

Attached to this email is an important form that each Mayo family must fill out and return. It is asking you if you will be returning to Mayo next year. Please fill it out as soon as possible and return it to your Einstein’s homebase teacher or to the Mayo office.
