The Goodall Overnight was a huge success! We can’t begin to thank all of you for your help. We are so fortunate to be able to take these trips, but they requiring lots of planning and organizing. We couldn’t do any of this if it wasn’t for our amazing parents, grandparents and volunteers. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
We do have some lost items in the Goodall area. If you are missing something, please look in the bucket in the hallway outside our area.
We somehow missed our photo opportunity at the zoo last week. Next Friday, April 22, please have your child wear their overnight t-shirt with regular Mayo bottoms. We will take our group photo in front of Mayo for the yearbook.
If you were unable to attend conferences, please make an appointment to see your child’s literacy/math teacher in order to review and sign your child’s MAP scores. We have several parents who have not signed their student’s test scores and this must be done before our next MAP test in May.
Starting next week, we will be sending mealworms/beetles home with the students. If your child would like to bring home their new pet, we MUST have a signed permission slip from a parent. Simply send a note saying that they may bring their insect home and send it to your homebase teacher. I know that no one likes uninvited insects in their home. Don’t worry, all mealworms will find a home.
Summer School Opportunity: Tulsa Public Schools offers a summer school program for all students entering grades 1-6. If you need an application please let your child’s homebaseteacher know. Your child’s teacher may be contacting you to recommend this program as well. Completed forms are due by April 29.
