Today we had a special visit from Chief Meteorologist Brett Anthony, Mobile Meteorologist Jon Haverfield and the new storm chaser vehicle! Ask your Einstein about this great experience! Watch for us on Channel 2 News at 5 and 6.
Our field study to Whiteside is tomorrow! Your child will not need a lunch! We will provide a special Chick-fil-a lunch for the Einsteins! We plan to leave Mayo at 10:00and will return at 2:00. We will use Frisbees, footballs, bubbles and soccer balls to see what happens with them in the wind. If you would like to send a kite with your Einstein, you may! We cannot promise that it will survive the day in order to be returned to you J. Parents will need to bring a sack lunch for themselves. This trip is for Einsteins and their caregivers only. Please make other arrangements for all siblings. Your Einstein can wear a Mayo spirit shirt with regular uniform bottoms.
Since no inclement weather days were used this year, the last day of school will be Tuesday May 17th.
All library books will be due no later than Friday, May 6. All students who have their library books turned in on time will receive a special pencil!
Volunteer Breakfast- Each year we like to honor those people who graciously give their time to volunteer at Mayo. If you have volunteered in any way, shape, or form this year you are invited to our Volunteer Breakfast on May 13th at 7:15 A.M. in the Mayo Library. We appreciate all your hard work! This will be followed by the Lifeskills Awards at 8:15 A.M.
Shadow Day is scheduled for Wednesday May, 11. 2nd year Einsteins will spend most of their morning in the Goodall area to meet their future teachers and classmates. 1st year Einsteins will stay in the Einstein area and have visitors from the Armstrong area. The Einsteins are looking forward to this day!
Friday, May 13 your Einstein will be cleaning out their cubby. They will bring home their brain break mat, extra clothes and any other items they have collected during the year.
All medicine needs to be picked up from the nurse’s office by Tuesday May 17. 1styear Einsteins, please return your shot records to the nurse ASAP.
Please check the lost and found in the cafeteria before your Einstein leaves for summer break. There are lots of coats, jackets, fleeces and sweaters in the lost and found. If your Einstein is missing any of these items you will want to check here!
