Edison Update 10-8-15

Dear Edison Families,

 

Tomorrow is Miles for Mayo-Made in the Shade!  Our jog-a-thon is tomorrow, Friday, October 9.  The Edisons will jog from 9:30-10:15.  We would love to have parents come cheer us on!  Mayo students may wear athletic pants or shorts  (weather and school appropriate) for the day.  Everyone will get a new Miles for Mayo shirt!  Please make sure your child has the correct footwear for jogging. All pledge envelopes should be returned to school on the day of the event. Any direct donations that you have already collected will be removed and tallied,  the envelope will be marked with the number of laps run, and the envelope will be returned for additional donations. Thanks for your support!

 

Fall Break begins next week!  We will be in school Monday-Wednesdayand will be out of school Thursday, Friday AND Monday.  We hope you enjoy some time with your family!

 

We are looking forward to seeing you and your child either this Monday or Tuesday, October 12th or 13th, for Student Led conferences!  Please show up anytime between 3:15 and 5:45 on one of those days.  You do not need an appointment.  If you can't make either one of those nights, please contact your child's homebase teacher to set up an alternative time.

 

Family parties are coming up!!! If you have signed up to help at parties you should’ve received an e-mail from Marissa Douthit; if not, you can e-mail her at: mayofamilyparent@aol.com

 

We have confirmed our field study to Downtown Tulsa on Tuesday, October 20th.  We will be visiting the Woody Guthrie Center, the Tulsa Glassblowing School, the Guthrie Green, and City Councilor Ewing will visit with us before we return to Mayo.  If you would like to join us, please either meet us at the Woody Guthrie Center a little before 10:00 or you can follow the bus from Mayo at about 9:30.
