Reminder! The Goodalls are going on a Field Study to the Tulsa State Fair on Tuesday, October 6th. We will be leaving Mayo at approximately 9:30 am and returning at 1:30 pm. They need a sack lunch (no lunch boxes) or a Lunch Form needs to be turned in by tomorrow, October 1st. Please let your child’s homebase teacher know if you are attending the fair with us. We would like to have groups already formed on Tuesday morning. The Goodall teacher emails are on the bottom of this newsletter. As a parent, you will need to pay your own admission at the main gate when we enter. The price is $8.00 per person. Your child needs to wear a red shirt and jeans or uniform bottoms. If you would like your child’s picture taken in another uniform option, please send a red shirt so that they can change before we leave. We will be walking a great deal, so please make sure they have on comfortable shoes.
Friday, October 2nd is EARLY Release Day. School ends at 1:00 pm. If you cannot pick up your child at the time, please make arrangements to have someone get your child for you.
Mayo Jog-A-Thon-One more week until “Miles for Mayo-Made in the Shade!” Our jog-a-thon is next Friday, October 9. The Goodall area will jog at 10:30. We would love to have parents come cheer us on! Mayo students may wear athletic pants or shorts (weather and school appropriate) for the day. Everyone will get a new Miles for Mayo shirt! Please make sure your child has the correct footwear for jogging. All pledge envelopes should be returned to school on the day of the event. Any direct donations that you have already collected will be removed and tallied, the envelope will be marked with the number of laps run, and the envelope will be returned for additional donations. Thanks for your support!
