Dear Edison Families,
We had an awesome field study to the Museum of Osteology on Tuesday! We had a chance to compare and contrast the skeletons to our earlier study of the human body.
We are looking forward to another field trip this coming Tuesday, December 15th! We will leave first thing and travel to Oklahoma City to tour the art work at the Capitol and then will visit the Gaylord Pickens Oklahoma Hall of Fame Museum. Through a grant, the Gaylord Pickens Museum is providing a sack lunch for all Edisons! No need to send a lunch for this trip! If you plan on joining us, please meet us at the capitol about 9:30 or you can follow the bus when we leave at 8:00. You will need to bring your own lunch.
Don’t forget to buy Candy Grams to send your friends during our Winter parties next Thursday! They will be on sale every day before and after school and the cost is 50 cents each. If you want to order some, but can’t make it up to school there is a form in your Home N’ Back you can fill out and send back. The 5th grade appreciates it!
Family Parties are next Thursday, December 17th. If you would like to assist with your child’s party, please contact your Family parent to see how you can help.
Gift Tree-There is a tree in the cafeteria with staff wishes on them. If you would like to take one and fulfill a “wish” it would be greatly appreciated! We are so fortunate to have such wonderful families at Mayo!
The Annual Edison Polar Express Day is Friday, December 18th. Your child may wear pajamas to school on that day! Please make sure that PJs follow the TPS guidelines (no spaghetti straps, shorts, etc.) Please send them in tennis shoes or appropriate outside shoes as we will be having recess if the weather allows.
