Tomorrow is a TPS Early Release Friday and Spirit Day! Children may wear any Mayo t-shirt with regular Mayo uniform bottoms. It is also a TPS Early Release Friday. School will be dismissed at 1:00. Library books and PAL are due tomorrow.
Tomorrow is Parent’s Night Out, benefiting the Mayo 5th Grade Trip. Please see your Home and Back and attachment for more information.
The Second Year Einstein Program will be Thursday, December 17th at 6:30pm. Look for song lyrics to come home with PAL on Monday. Please plan to have your child in their homebase by 6:20pm. After dropping off your child, parents will go to Wilson Auditorium and wait for the show to begin! On the evening of the program, Second Year Einsteins may choose to wear a red Mayo uniform shirt with uniform bottoms or a special holiday shirt, outfit, or dress. Second Year Einsteins may also wear a holiday hat or headband. If you do not have a holiday hat or headband, we have some you can borrow.
Einstein Coloring Book Exchange will be Friday, December 18th. Please send a wrapped coloring book and a wrapped box of 24 crayons. Please do not send markers or crayon boxes larger than 24 because we want all the children to have the same gift. The coloring book should be appropriate for either a boy or a girl – please no Barbie or Transformer type coloring books. Please address the gift; To: My Friend From: Your Child’s Name. Once your gift is ready, you may give them to your child’s homebase teacher. If you are unable to get this gift for any reason or if you do not want your child to participate in this exchange, please contact your child’s homebase teacher.
We will be sharing the gift of song on December 18th at the Broadmoor Retirement Center and Life Senior Services. Mrs. Regnier’s, Ms. Mason’s and Ms. Starck’s homebases will sing at the Broadmoor Retirement Center. Ms. Hancock’s, Ms. Bond’s and Mrs. Beckman’s (Mrs. Wade) will sing at LIFE Senior Services. We will be donating winter items to each center. Please send a pair of gloves, mittens, socks or a hat to donate.Look for the collection boxes in the hallway in the Einstein Area. Due to limited space at the centers, parents will not be able to join us. We will have a special performance for our Einstein parents and families, December 18th at 1:20, in the cafeteria. Our songs for the retirement centers and cafeteria performance will be the same as the Second Year Einstein Program but will include all Einsteins.
Friday, December 18th will also be a special day for Einsteins to come to school in their pajamas! Remember that pajamas must be in compliance with Tulsa Public Schools dress code, which includes no spaghetti straps, sleeveless nightgowns, or boxer shorts. Girls that choose to wear nightgowns should wear tights underneath them. Einsteins will need to wear regular shoes to school. Please do not send your Einstein in slippers. Einsteins may also wear a holiday hat or headband. If you do not have a holiday hat or headband, we have some you can borrow.
