There will be no school January 15th-18th. We will see your Einstein on Tuesday, January 19th!
PAL will be coming home Tuesday, January 19th. If you have not returned this week’s PAL please bring it to school on Tuesday.
Report of Student Progress: Your child’s Report of Student Progress (Report Card) should be in your Home-and-Back today. It reflects your child’s performance on our second quarter benchmarks. Contact us with any questions!
The 5th Annual Mayo Trivia Night is Saturday, January 23! Trivia Night sells out, so act fast! Trivia Night is hosted by the Mayo Foundation! We hope you will get a team of six together to participate in this fun event at the Campbell Hotel!
Tuesday, January 26th the second-year Einsteins will be going on an Any Given Child sponsored Field Trip. Any Given Child provides learning opportunities through the arts for children in grades K-5. The second-year Einsteins will be seeing a musical production of Frog and Toad. Due to limited space, we will not need parent volunteers. Your second-year Einstein should wear a red Mayo shirt with regular Mayo bottoms. We will return in time for lunch.
Thursday, January 28th we will be going on a field study to the Tulsa Ice Oilers Center and Channel 2 News! At the ice rink we will have a wonderful opportunity to experience a cold environment and icy surface as we continue our study of winter properties. At Channel 2 News we will get an awesome behind the scenes tour as we begin our focus on winter weather. Miss Starck’s, Miss Mason’s and Ms. Hancock’s classes will leave Mayo at 9:45 and return at 1:00. Mrs. Beckman’s, Ms. Bond’s and Mrs. Regnier’s homebases will leave Mayo at 10:15 and return at 1:30. The Einsteins will have a special pizza lunch, provided by your Mayo Way Fee. We would love to have parents attend this field study with us! If you would like a pizza lunch, please send $5 to your child’s homebase teacher. Pizza lunch will include 2 slices of pizza and a drink. Please let your child’s homebase teacher know if you are able to attend and if you would like to purchase a lunch at the Oilers Center. We must have all money for chaperone lunches by January 25th. Thank you and we hope you all can attend!
Reminder: when picking your child up at dismissal, you should always enter through the North cafeteria door and exit through the South cafeteria door or the South door near the library. This allows for the safety of everyone and is not meant to inconvenience anyone. Thanks for your cooperation and consideration.
Brainbreak mats will be coming home with your Einstein today. Please wash and return the mats on Tuesday, January 19th.
