Happy Friday before school starts!
We were so excited to see many of our Einsteins and their families last night! We wanted to review a couple of things with everyone before the start of school to help our first week go smoothly!
Arrival:
On Monday, your Einstein will meet on the front lawn of the school. We will have music, a brief message from our PTA President and enter the building in instructional areas together. If your child will need to eat breakfast at Mayo, they will go to the cafeteria before meeting on the front lawn. You are welcome to stay with your Einstein and walk them to their room to put their stuff away and give them a hug and kiss goodbye! If you are a parent of a first year Einstein or new to Mayo this year, please see the attached invitation for the BooHoo Breakfast!
Regular arrival procedures- If you plan to drop your child off, you will need to drive down Columbia Ave. and stop by one of the designated signs. A teacher will be on duty to help your child enter and make their way to the cafeteria. If you plan on walking your child inside, please park in either the Mayo lot or the church parking lot across the street. Enter through the south cafeteria door. Einsteins will be released from the cafeteria to go to their classrooms at 8:00. The building opens at 7:30which is when breakfast will begin to be served.
Dismissal:
All Einsteins will dismiss from their home base. You will pick them up from their classroom and sign them out with their teacher. If your Einstein rides the bus or goes to an aftercare program we will have a TA walk them to their designated area. This will be the dismissal procedure to follow every day. Please do not enter your child’s classroom before 3:05.
Lunch- If your child brings a lunchbox have them put it in their cubby when they arrive in the morning.
Don’t forget to bring your brainbreak mat and a change of clothes to keep in their cubby!
