Apologies for the Late Newsletter – Important Information About State Testing Below
Hello Armstrong Parents!
As many of you noticed, last week was a crazy week in the Armstrong area. Report cards are going home today – sorry for the delay.
Testing begins this week! Tuesday and Wednesday will be the reading tests for all 4th and 5th graders. This Friday will be the 5th grade writing test. Next Tuesday and Wednesday will be the math tests for all 4th and 5th graders, and Friday will be the 5th grade science test. As a reminder, it is vital that all students are present before lunch on these days. Please make sure your child arrives on time and please avoid scheduling any appointments during those hours.
The Armstrong overnight is coming up quickly! The parent overnight forms are due by this Friday to Mrs. Smith. An electronic copy is attached to this email.
You can fill it out on your computer and send it to your child’s homebase teacher or print it out and send it to school. We also have extra printed copies here at Mayo. Please be sure you read the forms completely and fill out all necessary information. If you are attending, we need to know the specific parts of the overnight for which you will be joining us! T-shirt forms were due with money this past Friday. If we have not received your form and payment, you will not be receiving a t-shirt. All students have a t-shirt provided for free.
This Friday is the spring dance at 6:30pm! It costs $3 for an Armstrong to get in (parents are free!) and it’s “geek” themed.
