Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out for Back to School night on Tuesday night. We hope that we were able to give you brief yet detailed overview of our curriculum and schedules this year. For those who were unable to make it, I have attached the powerpoint presentation from that night.

The first Friday of every month is “Spirit Day” at Mayo. Students may wear any Mayo Spirit Shirt with regular Mayo bottoms. We DO NOT have Early Release Fridays anymore; tomorrow will be regular school hours.
Lastly, although we are adhering to a “no homework” policy this year, we do encourage you to read daily with your child and/or encourage your child to read daily for 20 minutes. We also highly recommend buying a set of multiplication flash cards at Dollar Tree and practicing those daily as well. We appreciate your commitment to your child’s education!
Important Reminders
- Armstrong after school dismissal/pick-up is on the playground at the newly painted map of the United States. Please make sure to sign your child out with their homebase teacher (Mrs. Smith’s homebase will be with Mrs. Lyles). If there is inclement weather, the Armstrongs will wait for pick-up in their area upstairs. We appreciate your patience and flexibility with the new dismissal procedures.
- Cell phones are not allowed in the Armstrong Area. While we understand the need for your child to have a cell phone with them for contact with after school activities, we require all cell phones to be checked in with Mrs. Jennings in the mornings before class. She will keep them safe during the day so they will not become a distraction. Please remind your child(ren) of this policy if they carry a cell phone to school with them. Thank you for your cooperation!
- If you have not turned in your Mayo Way form to the office, please do that ASAP
