No school Monday, September 5. Have a safe and fun Labor Day weekend!
Tomorrow is our first Spirit Day! Einsteins may wear a Mayo spirit t-shirt and regular uniform bottoms.
Brainbreak Mats will be coming home on Friday, September 2. Please wash them and return them back to school on Tuesday, September 6.
Library books are due tomorrow. If your child’s library book is returned tomorrow, they will check out two books on Tuesday.
Family begins Tuesday, September 6. Family will meet every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:15-2:55.
Einstein PAL- The first PAL will come home on Tuesday, September 6th. PAL stands for Participate and Learn. It is the Einstein version of homework. PAL will be in a monthly calendar format this year and sent home the first Monday of the month. If a holiday falls on the first Monday of the month PAL will be sent home the next day school is in session. The calendar will have daily activities for you and your child to do together. Some of them may involve written components. Your Einstein will not need to bring these back to Mayo. We recommend keeping them in a journal at your house and reviewing them throughout the year. Use PAL activities as a special time for you and your Einstein. This should be a fun and relaxed learning time for you and your child! We will also send the PAL via email each month.
Tulsa State Fair “Being There Experience” We will be going to the Tulsa State Fair on Friday, September 30. The busses will leave Mayo at 9:00am and return to Mayo by 1:30. Einstein admission is covered in your Mayo Way payment. We would love to have many volunteers help us at the fair! Please let your homebase teacher know if you would like to join us. If you are joining us, make sure you have a volunteer form on file with the office. Adult pre-paid tickets are $6.00 and money can be given to your child’s homebase teacher. Money must be turned in by September 23. After this date, you will have to purchase your ticket at the gate for $10.00. We ask that you pack yourself and your Einstein a lunch to eat at the fair or look for a lunch form to come home with your child tomorrow if they need a sack lunch from the Mayo cafeteria. If you would like to sign your child out at the end of our field study, please be sure to see your child’s homebase teacher.
