Community Forums with the Superintendent

As you know, we are in the process of developing our next five-year plan. Last spring, more than 3,000 Tulsans took part in a district-wide survey about the role of education in our community. During the summer months, many of our teachers, principals, and central office staff participated in strategic planning sessions and have contributed invaluable input on this new plan.

 

Now, we are reaching back out to the community to gather feedback that will inform the planning process. Our next community forum will be on Tuesday, Sept. 22^nd at 6pm at Webster High School. These community forums are intended for everyone: parents, teachers, students, grandparents, community partners and all Tulsa community members with or without a child at TPS. Forum attendees will participate in small group exercises and share their discussion with the larger group; they may attend any session at any school, regardless of where they live. We want the entire community to be able to offer feedback on the direction that Tulsa Public Schools should take for the future of our children. I have attached a flyer that I hope you will share with your friendsand family. If you use Twitter or Facebook, please feel free to use these sample posts to help spread the word:
