Einstein News September 24, 2015
· Einstein Overnight October 23-24!
Your Einstein will come home today with an overnight letter pinned to their back. (We have attached this letter to the email as well.) This letter has more information for you regarding the overnight! Please take the time to read this letter and return it to your homebase teacher by October 8, 2015. Every adult who attends a field study, or who wishes to volunteer during the year at Mayo, needs to have a Volunteer Background Check completed each year and on file with the office. If you have not done this yet and would like to attend our field study, please fill out the attached form and return it ASAP to the office.
· Please wash and return any Mayo clothes you have borrowed from the office. We use these clothes for lunch spills, mud slips, and bathroom accidents. Also, please be sure that your Einstein has a change of clothes in their cubby. The nurse will be calling parents to bring a change of clothes if there are not clothes available for your child. As cool weather arrives, please label all jackets and sweaters with your child’s name.
· Mayo Jog-a-thon. The Jog-a-Thon will be a fall event this year! Mark your calendars for Friday, October 9 for Miles for Mayo-Made in the Shade! We will be raising funds to construct a shade shelter on the Mayo playground. Your child's pledge envelope will be in this week's Home and Back. Look for the blue letter that is inside of the pledge envelope. It has lots of important information about the event! We hope you will help your child secure lots of pledges so that we can make our dream of a shady place on the playground come true this year!
· Student-led Conferences. Your child will get to lead you through what they have been learning. The dates for the fall conferences will be Monday and Tuesday, October 12thand 13th from 3:15-5:45. Please mark these dates on your calendar!
