Armstrong Update 12-15-2016

Greetings and salutations Armstrong Parents!

We are definitely on the home stretch!

Dismissal- Due to the change in weather Armstrong’s will be dismissing students to go home from inside until further notice. Once the weather begins to consistently warm up we will go back to normal outside dismissal.

Strings Performance- The Band and Strings students will be having a performance tomorrow, December 16th, at 1:30 in the Wilson Auditorium. You are welcome to come and watch your student perform.

Jackets- As the weather fluctuates we may occasionally step outside to play or walk the track. Please make sure you are sending your child to school with a jacket so they may go outside.

Pajama Day Volunteers- We are looking for 2 or 3 parents who would be willing to help us make hot cocoa next Wednesday, December 21st, during Pajama Day. We are also looking for a few parents who would be willing to loan their coffee pot for the day so we could heat up water for cocoa.

Pajama Day- Pajama Day is scheduled for December 21st.
The parameters for next Friday are as follows:
•    Pajamas must follow TPS dress code – no spaghetti straps, tank tops must follow the two finger width rule, no v-neck shirts, shorts are to be no shorter than fingertip length (2 inches above the knee)
•    Students must wear REAL SHOES to school, during transitions, specials and lunch.
•    Students may bring house shoes or slippers, but these will only be worn during our movie time.
•    Please DO NOT BRING stuffed animals, pillows or blankets.
•    You MAY WEAR ROBES as long as the pajamas underneath the robe are appropriate and follow TPS dress code.
•    Consider wearing undershirts or shorts under your pajamas because pajamas are often made of thin, flimsy material.
•    If it seems inappropriate then don’t wear it.

Armstrong Overnight- Our overnight is scheduled for April 20th-21st, 2017. We will be visiting Robber’s Cave. Details to come.

Winter Parties- Winter Parties are tomorrow: December 16th. You should have received an e-mail from a family parent.

DATES TO REMEMBER:
December 9- Field Study to Air and Space Museum
December  16- Winter Parties
December 21- PJ Day
December 22- January 3- Winter Break
January 16- No School MLK Jr. Day
