Edison Update 11-28-2016

Good afternoon!  We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Today MOST Edisons will be bringing home a Household Information Survey Form that TPS needs filled out and returned ASAP.  Please fill out the form according to the directions (use a pencil and do not fold) and return in the envelope provided.  Please have your child bring these back to their Homebase teacher tomorrow or as soon as possible.

Also, we want to remind you that the Edisons will be going on a Field Study to Will Rogers Museum in Claremore this Thursday.  We will leave a little before 9:00 and will return around 12:30.  The Edison teachers will provide lunch for the Edison students when we return.  SO, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEND A SACK LUNCH THURSDAY!  If you are joining us, please be aware that you will need to pay the $7 entrance fee to the museum.  Edison students need to wear their Edison t-shirt and uniform bottoms.

Several weeks ago, Mrs. Sander send a packet of extra practice math assignments home with some students.  These need to be returned ASAP…they were due November 18th.

If you haven’t sent back your Jog-a-thon envelope, they are due today!

Thanks and have a great week!

If your Goodall has collected pledges or donations, please bring the envelope tomorrow. Students should bring their Jog-a-Thon envelope with any money they have already collected. We will return the envelopes to the students to continue collecting after we take the money out and write the number of laps they ran on the envelope.
We will give awards to the children who run the most laps (boy and girl in each grade level: 1st, 2nd, 3rd) on Friday at the 2:30 Celebrations. After all of the donations come in, we will award grand prizes for the student who brings in the most money, the siblings who bring in the most combined and the homebase (we will use a percentage so that there isn't an advantage to the larger homebases) that brings in the most! Students should wear shoes for jogging! They may wear athletic pants/appropriate running shorts to go with their new t-shirts (which they will get in the morning).
Please leave at home... Halloween and other candy. We have had some rogue candies sneaking into backpacks and hitching rides to school in students’ pockets!! This becomes a classroom distraction and a playground safety issue. Thank you for understanding!!
