Einstein Update 12-10-15

Einstein News!                      December 10, 2015

Library books and PAL are due tomorrow.

Ms. Edwards, Mayo Health Assistant, is requesting all Einsteins bring a copy of their current vaccination record.  Please turn this in to the office or your child’s homebase teacher.

Please follow the link below to be sent to a YouTube playlist of our holiday songs.  All Einsteins should be practicing these songs.  Thank you Kerri Hensley for setting this up for us!  http://tinyurl.com/EINSTEINSONGSDEC2015

Winter Parties will be December 17th at 2:15.  Be looking for a flyer or email from your child’s family parent.  The second year Einstein Dress Rehearsal will be December 17th at 1:45.  We will be performing our program for the school at this time.  If you are unable to join us for the evening performance, feel free to join us for our rehearsal.

The Second Year Einstein Program will be Thursday, December 17th at 6:30pm.  Please plan to have your child in their homebase by 6:20pm.  After dropping off your child, parents will go to Wilson Auditorium and wait for the show to begin!  On the evening of the program, Second Year Einsteins may choose to wear a red Mayo uniform shirt with uniform bottoms or a special holiday shirt, outfit, or dress.  Second Year Einsteins may also wear a holiday hat or headband.  If you do not have a holiday hat or headband, we have some you can borrow.

It’s time to start bringing your coloring books for the Coloring Book Exchange! Einstein Coloring Book Exchange will be Friday, December 18th. Please send a wrapped coloring book and a wrapped box of 24 crayons. Please do not send markers or crayon boxes larger than 24 because we want all the children to have the same gift. The coloring book should be appropriate for either a boy or a girl – please no Barbie or Transformer type coloring books. Please address the gift; To: My Friend   From:  Your Child’s Name.  Once your gift is ready, you may give them to your child’s homebase teacher.  If you are unable to get this gift for any reason or if you do not want your child to participate in this exchange, please contact your child’s homebase teacher.

Don’t forget we will be donating winter items to the centers when we carol. Please send a pair of gloves, mittens, socks or a hat to donate. Look for the collection boxes in the hallway in the Einstein Area.

Candy Grams are on sale for our Winter parties next Thursday! They will be on sale every day before and after school and the cost is 50 cents apiece.  If you want to order some, but can’t make it up to school there is a form in your Home N’ Back you can fill out and send back. The 5th grade appreciates it!

We will have a special performance for our Einstein parents and families, December 18th at 1:20, in the cafeteria.  The sing along will last approximately 15-20 minutes.  We hope many of you will be able to attend!  You may start your holiday break early and take your Einstein home with you after the performance if you like.  Please make sure to sign your Einstein out with his teacher if you choose to do this.

Friday, December 18th will also be a special day for Einsteins to come to school in their

pajamas!  Remember that pajamas must be in compliance with Tulsa Public Schools dress

code, which includes no spaghetti straps, sleeveless nightgowns, or boxer shorts. Girls that

choose to wear nightgowns should wear tights underneath them.  Einsteins will need to

wear regular shoes to school.  Please do not send your Einstein in slippers.  Einsteins may also

wear a holiday hat or headband.  If you do not have a holiday hat or headband, we have some

you can borrow.
