Edison Update 3-3-2016

Greetings Edison Families!

We have had a very busy week in the Edison area!  We were so glad that so many of you were able to attend the Edison Program Tuesday evening.  We hope you were as proud as we were of all their hard work!

Today, in your child's Home and Back is a copy of their latest MAP Reading and Math scores, as well as the SRI results from last month.  Please feel free to contact your child's Homebase teacher if you have any questions.

Next up on our agenda is a "Being There" experience this coming Thursday, March 10th.  We will be going to the Port of Catoosa and then to Will Rogers museum.  We will be leaving Mayo at 8:45, and will return by 2:50.

We are looking forward to seeing you and your child this coming Monday or Tuesday, March 7th or 8th for Student-led Conferences.  Please come between 3:15 and 5:45 and let your child show you what they have been learning. We strive for 100% participation at conferences.  If you cannot make one of these times, please talk to your child's Homebase teacher to set up an alternative time.

Tomorrow is the last day to turn in money for spring pictures.  Please turn it in to the office.

We hope to see many of you at the Mayo Kicks Auction this Saturday evening!  If you haven't had a chance to purchase tickets yet, you may do so at the door.  The Edison teachers hope you will consider bidding on our event, "Tasty Treats with Teacher."  You can bid on one of three spots.  Each spot includes your child and a friend they can choose from the Edison area to bring with them.  Usually these teacher events are on the Big Board.

School is not in session next Friday, March 11th.  This will mark the beginning of Spring Break and school will resume Monday, March 21st.
