Friday, February 5th is Spirit Day! You may wear any Mayo t-shirt with regular Mayo bottoms. Friday is also a TPS early release day. We will dismiss at 1:00.
We have been reviewing attentive listening and grouptime procedures. Please ask your Einstein to tell you and show you what our expectations are for carpet time.
February 11th at 2:15 will be our Friendship parties with family. On this day we also pass out friendship cards (a.k.a Valentines). Please help your child prepare 2 sets of cards. One set is to give to family members-15 plus family teacher. The other set is for the homebase group-20 students. Please put the cards in a bag labeled with your child’s name and with the label “homebase” or “family.” Please do not address the cards to specific children. Please start this job soon! It takes a while to write your name so many times! AllEinsteins should be able to sign their names on their cards on their own if they spread the job over several days. It is fine to attach a piece of candy or a sticker to the cards if you would like. Please be mindful that some children have peanut allergies and avoid candy with nuts.
Friday, February 12th is Spring Picture Day! This will also be free dress day!
Summer School Opportunity: Tulsa Public Schools offers a summer school program for all students entering grades 1-6. If you have a second year Einstein and are interested in this program, please fill out the application in today’s home-and-back. Your child’s teacher may be contacting you to recommend this program as well. Completed forms are due by April 29th.
Friendship Party Candy Gram Sales are on sale now! Look for them on sale in the cafeteria before or after school.
Another 5th Grade babysitting night is coming up just in time for Valentine’s Day! See the information attached to this email.
School will not be in session Monday, February 15th in honor of President’s Day.
Mark your calendars! We will be spending the day at the Tulsa Zoo, Thursday March 10th. We need parents to join us to make this “being there experience” happen. Please contact your homebase teacher if you will be able to join us. More details to come!
If your Einstein's brainbreak mat did not come home last week to be washed, look for it today! Please return on Monday, February 8th.
