Goodall Update 11-10-2016

November 10, 2016
Tomorrow is Book Character Day!!
Be sure to come in your costume with the orange clue sheet that was sent home on Tuesday.  We have several activities planned for the morning.  If your child would like to bring extra clothes to change into, please send them a labeled bag.  They also may stay in their costumes all day.
The Boy Scouts will be attending the Veteran’s Day parade tomorrow in downtown Tulsa.  If your son is attending, they are still able to wear their costume when they return.  Send their costume in a labeled bag and they can keep it in their cubby.
We had so much fun at the Jog-a-thon last Friday and appreciate your support continuing to collect those per lap pledges.  As soon as you have collected all of the money, please send your envelope back to school.  The deadline for returning the money is Monday, November 28th.
Thanksgiving Luncheon- All guest RSVPs and money for Mayo’s traditional Thanksgiving lunch are due tomorrow. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

***SHOOTS!!!  YOU HAVE A SPELLING TEST TOMORROW!!***
Roots Parents, you will be seeing math pages come home stapled together.  These are the lessons we have completed.  Some were graded.  We did not complete every lesson (as instructed by TPS).  The homework papers are also there, and we do not send homework this year.  The pages are simply for you to know what we have been doing, but you can use unfinished work as extra practice at home, if you’d like!
Quick Curriculum Update:

Even though we are not sending homework regularly, students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes each and practicing their addition and subtraction math facts.
