Einstein Update 10-6-2016

Einstein News
October 6, 2016
Remember, NO SCHOOL TOMORROW, Friday October 7th.  Teachers will be in conferences all day.
Vegetable Soup-We made vegetable soup today! Ask your Einstein what vegetables went into their soup and the process we followed to make the soup. We even got to pick some fresh herbs from the Mayo Garden! Ask your Einstein if they liked the soup.
Reasor’s Trip- The Einsteins have been given the opportunity to visit Reasor’s next Wednesday. We will be walking to our neighborhood Reasor’s in the morning. It will be a great experience for us to see how our food makes it from the farm or factory to the market. We will get a behind the scenes tour of the stocking and storage area as well as a guided tour of the store. Unfortunately due to limited space, we will not be able to take parent volunteers.
Fall Conferences- Fall conferences are scheduled for October 17 & 18 from 3:30 p.m. -6:30 p.m. Our conferences are student led. You do not need to schedule a time, just show up! Don’t forget to bring your Einstein as they will lead you through what they have learned!
Einstein Quilt- Hello new and returning Mayo families!  My name is Megan Nsien and I am on the committee this year for our schools biggest fundraiser, the auction!  The Einsteins play an important role in this event every year by designing and providing a quilt to be auctioned.  Although the auction is several months away, planning and preparations are well underway. We are in need of a family to step up and help take on this special task. I can't wait to meet the awesome person who signs on to help with this. If you have any questions regarding this project please contact me at megannsien@aol.com
