Goodall Update 10-28-2016

Thank you to everyone who attended student-led conferences.  The students really enjoyed “showing what they know” to all of you.  If you did not attend, please see your child’s literacy/math teacher ASAP to sign their testing reports.
Family Parties are tomorrow at 2:15.  Set up begins at 2:00.  If you are a family parent, you may begin setting up at 2:00.  Thank you for making our Family celebrations so special!
***SHOOTS!!!  YOU HAVE A SPELLING TEST TOMORROW!!***

Fall Carnival!!! – Our Fall Carnival is tomorrow, Friday, October 28
th from 6:30-8:30PM. This is something that the 5th graders organize to raise money for their end of the year trip and it is open to all Mayo friends and families.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Lost Something??
We still have many “found” items that were left behind after our Overnight Trip.  They are up in the Goodall area.  If you’re missing a jacket, other clothing, towels, etc., please come and check.  Soon, we will bag them up and send them to charity.
Jog-A-Thon
It’s time again for our annual Jog-A-Thon fundraiser, “Miles for Mayo”!  This year's theme is "Supporting Our Superheroes!" All funds raised will be used to pay for professional development and supplies for the Mayo teaching staff. Your child should have come home today with a pledge envelope.  Look inside of the envelope for a flyer with details about this fun event and start collecting pledges and donations now!
Book Character Day-Book character day is on Friday, November 11th.  On this day your child needs to dress up as a favorite book character.  It MUST be from a book!  Next week, we will send home a clue sheet for you and your child to fill out, so keep you character a secret so his/her classmates can guess who they are!
