*Spirit Day is tomorrow! You may wear any Mayo t-shirt with regular Mayo bottoms. Friday is also a TPS early release day. We will dismiss at 1:00.
· Please return all Einstein Overnight RSVP forms and pizza lunch money by October 8th. Every adult who attends a field study, or who wishes to volunteer during the year at Mayo, needs to have a Volunteer Background Check completed each year and on file with the office. If you have not done this yet and would like to attend our field study, please fill out the attached form and return it ASAP to the office. If you are a TPS employee, please fill out the volunteer form and write “TPS Employee” on the top.
· School Picture Day – Next Tuesday, October 6th, is Picture Day. This is a uniformpicture day and all students are expected to be in their Mayo uniform. Pictures will be taken in the morning. In your home and backs you will find school picture order forms. Please return these to the office or your child’s homebase teacher by Tuesday.
· One more week until Miles for Mayo-Made in the Shade! Our jog-a-thon is next Friday, October 9. Einsteins will jog at 11:00. We would love to have parents come cheer us on! Mayo students may wear athletic pants or shorts (weather and school appropriate) for the day. Everyone will get a new Miles for Mayo shirt! Please make sure your child has the correct footwear for jogging. All pledge envelopes should be returned to school on the day of the event. Any direct donations that you have already collected will be removed and tallied, the envelope will be marked with the number of laps run, and the envelope will be returned for additional donations. Thanks for your support!
- Student-led conferences will be October 12 from 3:15 to 5:45 and October 13 from 3:15 to 5:45. You do not need to make an appointment. Please plan on spending about 30 minutes with your child. Your child will get to lead you through what they have been learning. We hope to see every family!
· Fall weather is here! The Einsteins have recess in the mornings and it can be chilly! Please send your Einstein to school with a jacket or sweater. We do not have extras to give children who do not have them in their cubby. Don’t forget to write your child’s name on the tag of their jacket!
- Fall Break will be October 15th-19th . School will resume Tuesday, October 20th.
