Thank you to those of you who were able to come to Back to School night on Tuesday. We hope we gave you a good overview of our plans for the year and answered most of your questions. I have attached the PowerPoint that we presented if you would like to view it. I am also including a link to the 3rd grade standards that we will be teaching in Language Arts and Math in case you are curious.

We had a fun and informative being there experience at Reasor’s this week! Hopefully your children have shared some information from the trip with you.
Tomorrow is our first Mayo Spirit Day of the year. We have these on the first Friday of each month. Your child may wear a Mayo t-shirt with their regular uniform bottoms. Mayo t-shirts include any purchased from the PTA and prior year instructional area shirts.
Dates for your calendar:
Friday, September 2-Spirit Day-students may wear a Mayo spirit shirt with Mayo uniform bottoms.
Monday, September 5-Labor Day—NO School
Monday, September 12 –MAP Reading test
Friday, September 16 – Edison Dog Wash and Walk
Monday, September 19 –MAP Math test
Wednesday, October 5 –Field Study to the Tulsa State Fair
Friday, October 7-No School-Teacher Professional Day
Remember, students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes each and practicing their addition and subtraction math facts. You can also ask them to show you a three or four digit number in Expanded Form.
