Goodall Update 9-1-2016

Thank you to all who attended Back to School night on Tuesday.  We gave out a great deal of information and shared our Field Trip itinerary.  We appreciate all the support for your children. 

Our first field study…..

On September 29th we will leave Mayo at 8:00 and travel to War Eagle resort to float the Illinois River.  We will stay in bunkhouses that night and in the morning we will travel to Camp Takatoka, near Wagoner, OK. There we will have several different activities and stations for the students.  We will leave the camp at approximately 3:00 and return to Mayo by 4:30.

Our next overnight meeting will be Thursday, September 15th at 6:30 in the Goodall area.

What we need from you…

1. Please complete the orange reservation sheet that was given out at the meeting and return with payment ASAP!  We will also be sending another copy home today.  If you don’t need it, please recycle.

2. On the bottom of the sheet is a T-shirt order form.  Your child’s t-shirt is paid for, but if you would like one, they are $10.00 for sizes s-xl and $12.50 for sizes 2xl and larger.  

3. Firm deadline for reservations and t-shirt orders is Friday, September 9th!

Procedures-Please review arrival and dismissal procedures.  As always, we want your child to be safe at Mayo.  

Tomorrow, Friday, September 2nd is Mayo spirit day.  Your child may wear a Mayo spirit shirt with regular Mayo bottoms.

For those of you who are having difficulty opening the newsletter document, we will have hard copies outside Mrs. Sowle’s classroom.

Friday, September 2-Spirit Day-students may wear a Mayo spirit shirt with Mayo uniform bottoms.

Monday, September 5-Labor Day—NO School

Tuesday, September 20 –Roots AGC Field Study to Gilcrease

Thursday, September 29 and 30-Overnight Field Study to Illinois River

Friday, October 7-No  School-Teacher Professional Day
